Thank You For Being a Friend 1M 10K 10 Mile 100K 100 Mile Race Description
*We are bringing back a fan favorite medal! This time it's a homemade medal made of beautiful acrylic that looks like glass!
On December 31, 2021 the world lost a cherished icon, Betty White. She was less than a month away from celebrating her 100th birthday when she passed away. We love this woman and the joy and laughter she brought into our lives. In her honor we are hosting our Thank You For Being a Friend 1 Mile, 10K, 10 Mile, 100K, 100 Mile race. You choose which distance you want to complete. Who will run/walk 100K or 100 Miles to honor Betty almost reaching 100 years??? Betty was a major animal activist, s0 at least 15% of every registration to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Georgia. Their mission is three-fold:
- To provide a forever home for injured, abused, and orphaned animals.
- To provide awareness through our education programs that emphasize all living things have value no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. When we as a society can recognize this fact, we will begin to win the battles for conservation and preservation.
- To provide unconditional love and care for animals who have special needs in their lives whether mental, physical, or emotional.
This is a unique medal that we made in our garage – for real, we made it! It’s etched on thick acrylic that looks like glass and it’s beautiful! The medal will come with a neck ribbon attached and a race bib. You can also print out a digital bib if you would like. We are excited to be creating our own medals using unique materials and designs! The neck ribbon and bibs sent out with these homemade medals are Virtual Run Events themed and there is a place on the bib where you can write the name of the race you are doing, the distance, time, etc.

What: This is a 1 Mile, 10K, 10 Mile, 100K, 100 Mile virtual run (or walk) to celebrate our favorite friend, Betty White! You choose which distance you want to complete!
When: Complete your race any time in 2023!
*Medals and bibs will ship out within 2 to 5 days of signing up.
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us).
Why: Because this is our way of saying "Thank you for being a friend."
Cost: The price is $16 and that includes your medal, bib and at least 15% of every entry will be donated to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary. *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.
