To Sidney, With Love 1M 5K 10K 13.1 26.2 Race Description

On January 6th, the world lost an amazing man, Sidney Poitier. The Hollywood star was known for films including Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, In the Heat of the Night and Lilies of the Field, for which he became the first Black man to win a Best Actor Oscar. One of our favorite Sidney Poitier films is To Sir, With Love. So to honor Sidney we are celebrating with our To Sidney, With Love 1M 5K 10K 13.1 26.2.
Poitier was also very involved in civil-rights activism, so at least 15% of every registration to the Equal Justice Initiative, an organization that is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American Society.
What: This is a 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 virtual run (or walk) to celebrate Sidney Poitier! You choose which distance you want to complete!
When: Complete your race any time in 2022!
*Medals and bibs will start shipping out March 31st! After that they will ship out within 2 to 5 days of signing up.
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us).
