On August 7, 1782 George Washington created the Purple Heart and now, August 7th, is known as Purple Heart Day. We are celebrating with a Purple Heart Day 5K & 10K. You will get a beautiful purple heart medal that says, All Gave Some, Some Gave All.

Awesome 10k Run through Eagle River, Alaska. Nice combination of up and downhills, but my route finished with "Cardiac Hill"... which almost finished me. I would do it a 100-times over for this cause.
